Role Summary/Purpose: The Manufacturing Quality Lab Manager will be responsible for day to day operations of the Quality Control Lab. This includes, but will not be limited to: staffing, ordering supplies, maintaining lab equipment, batch adjustments and shipping samples. In this role, you will utilize your experience or expertise to solve problems, develop and execute objectives for self and others, and have the ability to effect short:term and long:term business goals.
Essential Responsibilities: As the Manufacturing Quality Lab Manager, you will:
:Plan, direct, and coordinate all quality assurance functions for the Beaumont, Texas plant
:Direct and coordinate the overall quality for materials, processes, and finished products to meet customer purchase order requirements
:Plan and coordinate the activities of QC Laboratory staff and manage quality responsibilities including: Complaint Data, Compliant CA / PA (
Corrective Action / Preventive Action) Planning, Execution, Effectiveness Checks, Complaint file Closure and Trending, Root Cause Analysis, process improvement, statistical analysis, and SPC data
:Support regulatory compliance and optimization of quality systems procedures relating to product complaint handling, adverse event reporting and product field actions through development, maintenance and improvement of documented processes, track quality misses and assist in the development of a resolution plan
:Contact customers and suppliers when necessary to confer on specific quality issues
:Direct and oversee batch and process adjustments based on solid understanding of process chemistry, synthetic chemistry techniques, and historical batch data
:Develop and/or adapt analytical methods for Beaumont production, primarily for GC and HPLC Perform laboratory scale:up and process simulation to validate processes, establish quality procedures and parameters, and investigate process problems
:Ensure a means of collecting and distributing compiled information in order to improve quality
:Be responsible for the administration of the quality system, including implementation and maintenance to regulatory requirements and standards such as applicable ISO (International Organization for Standardization) standards and appropriate EHS (Environmental Health and Safety) and PSM (Process Safety Management) requirements
