Responsible for performing technical and administrative work in the Housing Authoritys Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) Department. Performs a variety of tasks involved in dealing with HCV participants and landlords of leased properties. KNOWLEDGE/QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma or GED. Two years of related secretarial and bookkeeping work experience in an administrative office. Ability to meet and deal with the public and establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees, lessors and residents. Very good knowledge of HUD regulations and Authority policies, procedures and practices pertaining to HCV housing programs. Some knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles, practices and techniques. Good knowledge of general office practices and procedures, business English and arithmetic. Skill in operating computer equipment and general office machines. Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, orally and in writing. Ability to establish and maintain effective and courteous relationships with other employees, vendors and other business contacts. Bondability. Valid Texas drivers license. Eligibility for coverage under fleet auto insurance
