Since the mid eighties when the term RestoMod was introduced to the Hot Rod world, the Ford Mustang was one of the first to receive such a treatment. The Mustang has been on the cutting edge of that design scheme ever since. Then the remake of Gone In Sixty Seconds took the RestoMod craze to a frenzy. Several 67 and 68 Fastbacks have received the Eleanor GT-500-E conversions such as the car you are looking at now. Many liberties were taken with this particular car. It was not intended to be an exact Eleanor tribute but just a wicked, sinister, looking GT Fastback. I would say they definitively accomplished that desire. The body is just gorgeous. It has a rich PPG black paint job with bright silver Le Mans stripes, power bulge hood, remote racing gas cap, functional side exhaust ground effects, spoilers, GT-500 style scoops and tail lamps. The fit and finish are totally show quality. Power comes from a new Ford 408 c.i.d. small block, stroker motor, with forged internals and 475 horsepower. It is highly detailed and has all the goodies you would expect. It is surrounded by custom aluminum export braces. Power is delivered to a custom made Moser Wave track locking differential with 3.25 gears and wishbone locator through a TCI Super Street Fighter transmission. The tricked out suspension is from Control Products which lets the shock towers be removed from the front and gives you coil overs on all fours. It also incorporates a rack & pinion style steering system. A huge improvement over the factory unit. It rides on Billet Specialties 20x10 inch on the rear and 20x8 inch on the front. Wilwood 4 wheel disc brakes bring it to a halt. The immaculate interior features all new fabrics, custom high back reclining leather bucket seats, custom dash filled with Auto Meter gauges, reverse cam navigation CD touch screen, aluminum GT-500 style accents, tilt column, Shelby style wood steering wheel, roll bar, folding rear seat, full length console, and TCI pistol grip shifter. This car was totally restored to show quality and drives fantastic. It is one of the finest Mustangs we have ever offered. It is ready to show, drive, race, and enjoy.
