xxxx Hyundai Santa Fe Sport FWD 4dr 2.4
xxxx to Present: Hyundai Santa Fe The third-generation Hyundai Santa Fe was introduced in xxxx. Beginning with this series, Hyundai assigned the Santa Fe Sport name to the standard wheelbase model, while the new, three-row version was dubbed the Santa Fe. The stretched wheelbase version replaced the previous and short-lived Hyundai Veracruz model. For xxxx, Hyundai offered the Santa Fe Sport with a 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine making 190 horsepower. A turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder making 264 horsepower is also available. The Hyundai Santa Fe is powered by a 3.3-liter V6 engine making 290 horsepower. A six-speed automatic transmission and front-wheel drive are standard across the model line. All-wheel drive is optional on both the Santa Fe and the Santa Fe Sport. Both models are marked by a broad, horizontal grille flanked by wraparound headlights that are accented by LED daytime running lights. Deep incisions on either side of the lower grille opening house the fog lights. Upper character lines run from the headlights to the tail lamps, and lower character lines run from wheel to wheel just above the rocker panels. Alloy wheels are standard across the model line. The Santa Fe's beltline rises at the rear quarter and meets the sloping roof for a sporty look. At the rear are wraparound tail lamps, a spoiler, and dual exhaust tips on select models. Inside, the Santa Fe Sport offers room for five with two bucket seats up front and a split fold-down seat in the rear. The Santa Fe offers room for six or seven, with bucket seats up front, a three-place bench seat in the second row and a two-place bench seat for the third row. Choose the Santa Fe Limited and this model substitutes the second-row bench for two captain's chairs. The Santa Fe Sport offers generous room for five with 108 cubic feet of passenger volume and 35.4 cubic feet of storage room (71.5 cubic feet with the rear seat folded). The three-row Santa Fe offers very good room for five, but tight room in the third row for two more. This model has 146.6 cubic feet of passenger volume and offers 13.5 cubic feet of storage room behind the third-row seat. That storage room expands to 40.9 cubic feet with the third row folded flat and 80 cubic feet behind the first-row seat. Standard equipment includes power accessories, a tilt-and-telescopic steering column, a six-speaker audio system, Bluetooth, USB and auxiliary input jacks and 12-volt power outlets. Available upgrades bring in navigation, leather seats, a 115-volt outlet, a heated steering wheel, a panoramic sunroof and ventilated front seats. The Hyundai Santa Fe Sport competes with the Ford Edge, Chevrolet Equinox, Mazda CX-5, Subaru Outback and Nissan Murano. The three-row Santa Fe can be cross-shopped with the Ford Explorer, Chevrolet Traverse, GMC Acadia, Dodge Durango, Toyota Highlander, Honda Pilot and Nissan Pathfinder. Earlier Santa Fe Models The first-generation Hyundai Santa Fe was produced from xxxx to xxxx. That model was powered by a 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine paired with a five-speed manual or a four-speed automatic transmission. A 2.7-liter V6 engine was also available and paired exclusively with a four-speed automatic. Only the V6 models offered available all-wheel drive. In xxxx, Hyundai added a 3.5-liter V6 engine to the line and paired it with a five-speed automatic transmission. In xxxx, Hyundai dropped the four-cylinder engine and maintained the two V6 engines for the remainder of the first generation. The second-generation Hyundai Santa Fe was produced from xxxx to xxxx. That model was powered by a 2.7-liter V6 engine paired with a five-speed manual or a four-speed automatic transmission. Also available was a 3.3-liter V6 engine paired with a five-speed automatic transmission. In xxxx, Hyundai changed the engine lineup again, bringing back a 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine and pairing it with a six-speed manual or a six-speed automatic transmission. A 3.5-liter V6 engine was the other choice and came paired with a six-speed automatic transmission.
